Educational Qualifications

  • General Education (G.C.E. O/L): Passed at least six (06) subjects in a single sitting, including credit passes for Mother Tongue (Tamil / Sinhala / English), Science, Mathematics, and one other subject.

  • Advanced Education (G.C.E. A/L): Passed three (03) subjects (excluding General Paper and General English) in a single sitting, including at least two (02) subjects from Biology, Mathematics, Technology streams (specifically Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Combined Mathematics, Biology, or Agriculture).

  • Professional Qualifications: A two-year Agriculture Diploma from an approved government agricultural school (such as Kundasale, Angunukolapelessa, Pelwehera, Bibila, Labuduwa, Wariyapola, Vavuniya, Anuradhapura, Karapincha), guttthie technical colleges, another government-approved institution, or equivalent qualifications accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.

Age Limit

  • Between 18 years and 30 years of age as of the closing date for applications (2026.10.05)

How to Apply

  • Submit applications exclusively online via the Eastern Provincial Council website at www.ep.gov.lk Exams Online Application between 2026.09.14 (9.00 AM) and 2026.10.05 (10.00 PM).

  • Pay the examination fee of Rs. 1000/- at any local divisional secretariat office in the Eastern Province to the account name "Secretary, Provincial Public Service Commission, Eastern Province", and upload the payment receipt online.

  • Print a hard copy of the submitted online application, attach the original bank payment receipt securely, have your signature attested by an authorized officer (e.g., principal, justice of the peace, attorney-at-law, government officer), and send it by registered post.

  • Mark the top left corner of the envelope with EX/REC/26/11 and "Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to the Post of Immigration Officer Grade III of the Eastern Provincial Public Service - 2026".

  • Mail the package to: Secretary, Provincial Public Service Commission, Eastern Province, Kanniya Road, Varodayanagar, Trincomalee to arrive on or before the application deadline or within one week following it.
