Audit Officer (Grade III) Vacancies at North Central Province 2026

The Grade III Internal Audit Officer position in the North Central Province Internal Audit and Investigation Department.

1. Educational Qualifications


Applicants must fulfill at least one of the following requirements:

  • Hold a degree in Accounting, Management, Commerce, Public Finance and Taxation, Mathematics, or Economics from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission.

  • Have passed the Intermediate or Advanced Intermediate Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), or the Intermediate Examination of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

  • Have passed the Higher National Diploma in Accounting / Commerce (HNDA/HNDC) from the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE).

2. Experience & Other Requirements


  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

  • Character & Health: Must be of excellent moral character and sound physical/mental health.

  • Residency: Must have been a permanent resident within the North Central Province local authority area for the immediate preceding 3 years up to the closing date of applications. (Residency can also be established through a spouse who has been a permanent resident of the province for more than 3 years).

  • Religious Status: Priests of any religious denomination are not eligible to apply.

3. Age Limit


  • Minimum Age: Not less than 22 years of age as of the closing date of applications.

  • Maximum Age: Not more than 35 years of age as of the closing date of applications.

4. How to Apply


  • Application Format: Applications must be handwritten by the applicant using both sides of an A4-sized paper, following the model application form provided at the end of the notice. You can also download the application form from the North Central Province Public Service Commission official website: www.psc.nc.gov.lk

  • Exam Fee: A fee of Rs. 1,200.00 must be paid on or before the closing date to any Divisional Secretariat Office in the North Central Province to be credited to the revenue head of the North Central Provincial Council (attach the NC 100 receipt firmly to the designated space on the application).

  • Submission Deadline: Send your completed application via registered post on or before October 19, 2026.
