The Driver Grade III position at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption(CIABC):

1. Educational Qualifications


  • G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L): Passed at least 6 subjects in not more than two sittings, including Sinhala/Tamil language, with two (2) credit passes.

2. Professional & Other Qualifications


  • Driving License: Must possess a valid heavy vehicle driving license issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.

  • Physical & Mental Fitness: Must possess sufficient physical and mental fitness to perform duties anywhere in Sri Lanka, day and night, supported by a medical certificate.

  • Height: Minimum height of 5 feet.

  • General Requirements: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka with an excellent character.

3. Experience


  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience (continuous or non-continuous) as a motor vehicle driver.

  • Experience must be formally substantiated by service certificates.

4. Age Limit


  • Minimum Age: 25 years

  • Maximum Age: 45 years (Applicants must fulfill all qualifications, including the age limit, by the specified application deadline).

5. How to Apply


  • Application Format: Applications must be accurately completed in English on standard A4 size paper following the specimen format provided at the end of the official gazette notice.

  • Required Documents (Certified Copies):

    • National Identity Card (NIC)
    • Birth Certificate
    • Educational certificates
    • Heavy vehicle driving license
    • Service certificates proving the 3 years of driving experience
    • Medical certificate obtained within one month of the closing date confirming physical fitness and height
    • Two (2) recent character certificates

  • Attestation: The applicant's signature must be attested by a Principal of a government school, Justice of the Peace, Commissioner for Oaths, Attorney-at-Law, Notary Public, a commissioned officer of the Tri-Forces, or a permanent public/provincial public service officer drawing a monthly consolidated salary of Rs. 71,240/- or above.
