The Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade II, Class II of the North Western Province Public Service Information and Communication Technology Service – 2026, 

  • Educational & Professional Qualifications: Applicants must satisfy one of the following criteria:

    • A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a university or degree-awarding institute recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

    • A degree with Computer Science or Information Technology as a main subject, where at least 1/3 of the total degree credits are in Computer Science/IT, from a UGC-recognized university or institute.

    • A postgraduate diploma in Computer Science/IT from a UGC-recognized university or institute.

    • Any degree from a UGC-recognized university or institute, plus a postgraduate degree in Computer Science/IT from a UGC-recognized university or institute.

    • A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 7 proficiency in Information Technology recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, plus 2 years of professional experience in the relevant field.

    • Note: All qualifications must be fulfilled on or before the closing date for applications.

  • Experience:

    • General degree/diploma holders do not require prior experience unless applying via the NVQ Level 7 pathway, which requires 2 years of professional experience in the relevant field.

  • Age Limit:

    • Applicants must be not less than 21 years of age and not more than 35 years of age as of the closing date for applications (October 23, 2026).

  • How to Apply:

    • Step 1 (Online Application): Fill out the online application via the North Western Province Public Service Commission website at www.exams.psc.nw.gov.lk on or before October 23, 2026.

    • Step 2 (Fee Payment): Pay the examination fee of Rs. 1,200/- to any Divisional Secretariat Office in the North Western Province to be credited to the revenue head of the North Western Provincial Council (using the W.P.S.M. 02 receipt form).

    • Step 3 (Postal Submission): Download the completed online application in PDF format, print it, paste the payment receipt in the designated place, and send it by registered post or postal courier service on or before October 30, 2026.
