The Information and Communication Technology Officer (Grade II of Class 2) position in the Southern Provincial Information and Communication Technology Service (2026).
Educational & Professional Qualifications
Candidates must satisfy one of the following qualification pathways by October 16, 2026:
- Pathway 1: A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized University Grants Commission (UGC) approved university or institution.
- Pathway 2: A degree with Computer Science or Information Technology as a major subject (covering at least 1/3 of the degree) plus a postgraduate diploma in Computer Science or IT from a recognized institution.
- Pathway 3: Any general degree from a recognized university plus a postgraduate degree in Computer Science or IT.
- Pathway 4: A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 7 certificate in IT plus 2 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
Experience
- Except for NVQ Level 7 holders (who require 2 years of professional experience), no prior experience is necessary for degree holders.
Age Limit
- Applicants must be between 21 and 35 years old as of the application closing date (October 16, 2026).
- This means eligible applicants must have been born on or after October 16, 1991, and on or before October 16, 2005.
